River Bench Campground

Several walk in campsites along the Illinois River, located on a lower river terrace, within a forested setting. Must hike down one of two river access trails to use. This site provides access to the Illinois River for swimming or fishing. 8 walk in campsites with picnic tables, and fire pits. No drinking water. Vault toilet within walking distance. No garbage disposal - Please pack it out. . Situation on a lower river terrace, offering direct access to the Illinois River. Six Mile Day Use site is nearby with picnic tables under small gazebos.

Fees: Overnight Camping: $10 per site per night; Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per day. NOTE : 50% discount for Interagency Senior and Access Pass holders on a single campsite. This discount does not apply to extra vehicle fees.

Getting there

From Selma, OR, take Highway 199 to the turn for Illinois River Road 4301. Take that road approximately 7 plus miles to the campground. Parking is up above the campsites and there are trails to the sites.
