The Pit River Recreation area is adjacent to the Pit River and has a small campground with eight campsites including tables, metal fire rings, and barbeque pits. Amenities include: two single wheelchair accessible restrooms, a kayak launch ramp, and an accessible fishing pier. Camping: $8.00/night Campground is Open, first come first served basis.!! If travelling west through Fall River Mills on Hwy 299 Cal-Trans is reporting expected delays up to 89 mins. outside of town prior to reaching campground turn off.

From Redding, California, take Highway 299 East toward Burney, California. After Burney, go 12-miles east until you see the sign "Pit Power House" road. Follow the signs downhill to the campground.
