Soapstone Campground is located on the beautiful Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains of northeastern Utah at an elevation of 8,200 feet. The Uintas are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. The Lower Provo River can easily be accessed from the campground and offers good trout fishing. Soapstone Basin is nearby, with miles of exciting off-road vehicle trails for riders of all skill levels. Numerous additional hiking, biking and horseback riding trails crisscross this beautiful region. The campground contains several single-family sites, two double sites and one triple site, all with picnic tables and campfire rings.

Fees: Cash, Check, or Scan & Pay (with recreation.gov app). 30 Single Sites - $31.00 , capacity - 8 people + 1 vehicle. 2 Double Sites - $62.00 , capacity - 16 people + 2 vehicles. 1 Triple Site - $86.00 , capacity - 24 people + 3 vehicles. Extra Vehicle - $10.00 per vehicle (paid on-site cash/check).

Getting there
From Salt Lake City, Utah, take I-80 east for approximately 30 miles to Exit 146 for Highway 40 toward Park City/Heber City/Vernal. Take Exit 4 onto Highway 248 toward Kamas. Take left onto UT 32 then right onto Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway). Go 15 miles to campground.
