North Abutment Campground is located on the north end of Grenada Dam on Grenada Lake. The campground is an excellent destination for boating and fishing. The region is steeped in history, with an array of civil war landmarks. In summer, Grenada Lake is home to the annual Thunder on Water Safe Boating Festival. Featured events include concerts, a youth fishing rodeo, tractor pull and fireworks display. In addition to general lake activities like boating, fishing, picnicking and sailing, the region boasts a sports complex, baseball fields, an 18-hole golf course and a fitness trail.

Getting there
From I-55, take the Grenada exit on highway 8 east through the City of Grenada for approximately three miles then turn left on Scenic Loop 333. Follow Scenic Loop 333 across the dam and take the second road to the right at the North end of the Dam.
