Coaldale Campground
Coaldale Campground is located on the banks of Hayden Creek and is a quiet campground with only 10 campsites. Most of the campsites are walk-in sites with small parking areas. The area is thick with gamble oak, juniper, and cottonwood trees . Sites 1-5 are walk-in sites for tent camping. Vault toilet is available only during peak season.

Getting there
To get to this campground from Salida, travel 15 miles on Highway 50 east toward Canon City. Just outside of Coaldale, watch for signs indicating access to "Cutty's Resort" and Hayden Creek. Turn right at the signs and get on Fremont County Road 6. County Road 6 travels south, winding up towards Hayden Pass.
