Schoodic Woods Campground
No RVs, trailers or vehicles larger than 21 feet are permitted on Schoodic Loop Road beyond the day-use parking area/campground. The Island Explorer Bus provides shuttle service on the Schoodic Peninsula during the day.Oversize vehicle parking is available in the day-use parking area at Schoodic Woods. For Schoodic Woods campsites, 90 percent of campsites are released six months in advance on the first of each month at 10 am EST. The remaining 10 percent are released at 10 am 14 days ahead of a desired arrival date on a rolling basis.

Amenities & rules
Fees: Park entrance fees are separate from campground fees. An entrance pass is required in the park and while staying in the campground. All interagency passes count as a park pass. These include senior passes, America the beautiful pass, military and access.

Getting there
Take I-95 north to Bangor, Maine, then take Route 1A east to Ellsworth. In Ellsworth, head north on U.S. Route 1 for approximately 17.3 miles to Hwy 186. Turn right on Hwy 186 and drive 6.5 miles. Turn left at yield sign, continue .5 miles and turn right on Schoodic Loop Road. Take Schoodic Loop Road for 1.0 mile. Campground will be on your left.
