Double Springs
Double Springs Campground is an “old fashion” campground, originally built in the 1930’s, and has sites nestled in a beautiful draw filled with cool grass, ponderosa pine and Gambel oak. 15 single-unit sites by reservations only. Relax and take in the nostalgia of this historic campground or hike the Lake View Trail (2 miles one way), which originates at here. This trail leads to overlooks providing view of nearby Mormon Lake and the surrounding forests and volcanoes. Campground roads and parking spurs are gravel. Getting there
Drive south from Flagstaff 20 miles on Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road) to the intersection of Forest Road 90. Turn west on FR 90 and drive 4.6 miles to Double Springs.
