Herman Creek Campground/Horse Camp

The forest surrounding the previous campground was found to have laminated root rot. The campground was treated for this destructive-to-conifers fungus, and replanted with native hardwoods. CRGNSA took the opportunity to redesign the campground. A trailhead for Herman Creek Trail (#406) and the Pacific Crest Trail (#2000) is located in the campground. Trails provide access to the Pacific Crest Trail and Trails #406E, #447, #422, and #437 and the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness.

Public land it sits in

On Wilderness Atlas →

This campground sits inside Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness.

Each unit is published as a centre point and an acreage rather than a boundary, so this section stands it in for a circle of the same area. Whether a campground is inside, and how far it is from one it is outside, are both approximate.
