Comstock

Comstock Campground is in the Rock Creek Drainage 18 miles southwest of Monte Vista. The campground facilities include 6 sites with tables and fire rings, and a vault type toilet. All sites are dead end spurs and vary from 35 to 40 feet in length. Maneuvering space for large trailers is somewhat limited so walking the campground to look at sites is recommended if you have a larger trailer. All sites are first come, first served and cannot be reserved. No trash service or receptacles. Please pack out all garbage. Hiking trails include: Alamosa River to Rock Creek Trail 703, North Fork Rock Creek Trail 704 and South Fork Rock Creek Trail 702. Motorcycles are allowed on Trails 702 and 703.

Sites are first-come, first-served. Recreation.gov lists this campground for paying on site, and you may be able to pay with the Scan and Pay feature of its app.

This campground sits inside Rio Grande National Forest.

Each unit is published as a centre point and an acreage rather than a boundary, so this section stands it in for a circle of the same area. Whether a campground is inside, and how far it is from one it is outside, are both approximate.
